Whether we're providing the local homeless population with blankets and clothing, or offering food to those in need in foreign countries, we are willing and able to do what we can to help.
Like most people, Didier Gbla has always been involved in helping those in need. Growing up in the Ivory Coast of West Africa, Didier saw first hand the increasing poverty level and knew he wanted to do more to give back.
Upon immigrating to the U.S., Didier met his wife, Davida, in Washington D.C., and learned she also had a passion for giving back. After relocating to New England, they met Neide, a Brazillian immigrant, who shared a similar experience as Didier. Together they began assisting friends of friends and quickly learned the need is far greater.
As the need for shelter, food, water, and other resources are becoming more demanding, we find ourselves needing to provide even more support. The Honeygood Foundation is where we can receive support from those looking to give back to people of all different backgrounds and be able to provide services and resources for those less fortunate. We are so grateful and thankful for your support in helping us put more smiles on more faces.
Growing up in the West African nation of Côte d’Ivoire during a time of great civil unrest. The immense inequality he witnessed among destitute, impoverished mothers and children has plagued him for a lifetime to be the one to step up and fulfill a need. Teaming up with local families and charities alike Didier finds great solace in being a link between those in need and those with provisions. Looking to the future he anticipates the ways in which The Honeygood Foundation can meet the needs of a community. It is both his greatest pride and unsurpassable pleasure to see faces wiped free of stress, when bellies are full with warm hearts and hands.
Born and bred in the Midwest. The persevering and community oriented mindset of her upbringing continue to encourage her to promote change and be a tool of service for people in need. Her personal motto is to be a place of quiet support and respite for those around her. Bringing much needed aid to both local families and individuals; as well as abroad, she finds hard work synonymous with compulsory kindness. The future is an opportunity to “do a great kindness” to those in need and she’s thankful to be doing just that at the Honeygood.
